Bubbled Mastercarve

From: Jane (seejanereed@earthlink.net) | Date: 2003-08-13 15:53:42 UTC
OOPS! I had the heat on the iron set *way* too high when I was
transferring an image onto a piece of Mastercarve and it bubbled and
also caused the tape to loosen and slide and smear the ink. Blech.
What a mess! I don't "iron" anything but projects, so the mess on
the faceplate of the iron isn't a tragedy, but...

How can I rescue my piece of M.carve? Will sanding do the trick and
be smooth enough to try again (<---the main issue)?
Help!

Thank you,

I have sanded carvings off that were quite deep and it worked out OK,
in fact I didn't sand it entirely off & this helped when I glued a
backer on it (gave the glue something to grab onto). I used a med.
grit sandpaper (at first, then fine) against a flat surface and
rotated the mastercarve around to keep the thickness of the
mastercarve even.

hope this helps.

Yes, it does!!! Thank you! It's for my personal stamp since I
*finally* found an image that I like after almost 2 years!
